The 11 Lincoln and four Riverside seniors in 2023-2024 represent the largest group to seek the post-secondary credential in a 6-year-old program that combines academic coursework with practical experiences. Riv-Ell is a collaboration between BC3 and Ellwood City area businesses.Schedule of Events: Pie Festival. The Annual Pie Festival hosted by the Lincoln Blue Band will be held on Thursday, Aug. 23 at Helling Stadium. The gates will open at 6 p.m. and the show will begin at 7 p.m. This is a special event to kick off the Blue Band’s fall entertainment. All Blue Band members and fall sport team members will be announced.The mascot is an 8 foot-9 inch eagle dressed in patriotic threads (including a top hat) that will serve as mascot for this year’s festival and future festivals as well. It also has a name that was selected by the citizens of Ellwood City–but only the Committee knows it for now. The mascot’s name will be revealed on July 2 at 4:30 PM.The Festival is open to the public from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 11 a.m. until 9:30 p.m. on Sunday. The day of the fireworks will be announced by the Ellwood City Borough. All booths should remain open until 10:00 p.m. on Friday & Saturday.
